Known gotchas
Revinate syncs guest data from the PMS; inaccurate or incomplete guest profile data in the PMS (missing email addresses or phone numbers) causes messages to fail delivery silently without surfacing as API errors
HMAC SHA-256 signing requires the request body to be signed with a shared secret; any middleware that modifies the request body after signing but before transmission will cause signature validation failures
SMS opt-out regulations vary by country; sending automated messages to guests who have not explicitly opted in for SMS communications can violate local data protection or telecom regulations
