  1. Identify the canceled pool: mc admin decommission status ALIAS TARGET shows status Canceled
  2. Understand that cancellation does NOT return the pool to an Active state
  3. Resume the migration by running mc admin decommission start ALIAS TARGET against the same pool
  4. Monitor progress: mc admin decommission status ALIAS TARGET until it reaches Complete
  5. Complete the process by removing the pool from the deployment - you must eventually finish; a canceled pool is not left usable
