Documented steps Identify the canceled pool: mc admin decommission status ALIAS TARGET shows status Canceled Understand that cancellation does NOT return the pool to an Active state Resume the migration by running mc admin decommission start ALIAS TARGET against the same pool Monitor progress: mc admin decommission status ALIAS TARGET until it reaches Complete Complete the process by removing the pool from the deployment - you must eventually finish; a canceled pool is not left usable Known gotchas Documented behavior: cancelling a decommission does not restore the pool to active; you must complete and remove it You can resume an in-flight or canceled process simply by running mc admin decommission start again on the same TARGET A pool stuck in Canceled/Draining state still holds its data until migration completes Doc: https://min.io/docs/minio/linux/reference/minio-mc-admin/mc-admin-decommission.html
