Steps

  1. Register your company on the INTTRA platform and configure trading partner relationships with the ocean carriers you ship with
  2. Create a booking request using the INTTRA Booking API or EDI BKCBKG message, specifying origin and destination ports, vessel/voyage (if known), container type and quantity, commodity, and Incoterms
  3. Submit the booking and receive the carrier's booking confirmation number (a unique reference linking all subsequent documents to this booking)
  4. Transmit the Shipping Instructions (SI) via INTTRA to provide the draft bill of lading data: shipper, consignee, notify party, cargo description, and marks and numbers
  5. Receive the draft B/L for review, submit corrections if needed, and instruct release of the original or seaway bill as appropriate
