  1. Open EPA's National Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (NLLAP) List at epa.gov/lead/national-lead-laboratory-accreditation-program-list
  2. Filter the published table by state and by the sample matrix needed (separate Paint Chips / Soil / Dust Wipes columns) — not every accredited lab handles all three
  3. Check the 'Commercial Availability' column, since some listed labs (certain public health department labs) are not open to outside commercial submissions
  4. Note the lab's accrediting organization code (1=AIHA LAP, 2=A2LA, 3=PJLA, 4=ANAB/ACLASS, 5=IAS) before booking
