Get the supplier's Media Content 1.0.0 WSDL
Call the media content lookup with productId to retrieve URLs and metadata for images, videos, and other digital assets tied to a product
Filter results by class (e.g., Primary, Swatch, Line Art) and mediaType, since suppliers return the full asset list per call
Cache returned asset URLs locally — the service returns links, not binary payloads, so a second HTTP fetch is required to download each asset
Known gotchas
Media Content adoption lags behind Product Data/Inventory; many suppliers embed images directly in Product Data instead of implementing this service separately
Asset URLs are not guaranteed stable long-term — re-request through the service periodically rather than hardcoding URLs
