  1. Request a per-location API key from SpotOn to authenticate against the read-only Export API
  2. Poll endpoints for Locations, Orders, Menu Items, and Paid In/Outs on a schedule no faster than the documented replication lag
  3. Constrain each request's date range to the API's documented maximum window
  4. Reconcile pulled orders against your own order/payment records using the order and location identifiers returned
  5. Re-poll on a rolling window to catch late-arriving updates within the replication lag
