Enable API access from the Lodgify dashboard under Settings > API, available only on Pro/Enterprise tiers
Retrieve the API key and include it in the required auth header on each REST call
Call the properties endpoint to list all managed properties and their IDs
Create, read, or update bookings and calendar availability through the bookings and calendar endpoints
Register a webhook endpoint to receive real-time events for new bookings, messages, and payments instead of polling
Known gotchas
API access is not available on all Lodgify plans; it must be explicitly requested and is limited to Pro/Enterprise tiers
Default rate limits around 100 requests per minute can be hit quickly during a full calendar/booking sync, and only Enterprise accounts can negotiate higher limits
