Steps Retrieve the test event code shown on the pixel's Test Events tab in Events Manager Add a top-level test_event_code field, a sibling of the data array of Server Event objects, to the CAPI request payload Send server events as normal to the CAPI endpoint with test_event_code included Confirm the events appear in the Test Events interface in near real time Remove test_event_code once validation is complete so events count toward production reporting
Known gotchas test_event_code is optional and only affects visibility/testing — leaving it in production payloads keeps events out of real reporting The field sits alongside the data array in the request body, not nested inside each Server Event object
