Use Remootio's cloud Device API for remote gate/garage control without LAN access

Steps
Update the Remootio device to firmware supporting API v3 (Remootio 1/2/3 ≥ v2.24).
Enable "Device API" cloud access in the app alongside the local WebSocket API; it reuses the same API Secret Key/Auth Key pair.
Ensure the Remootio device itself has working internet access, since the cloud API proxies to the device rather than your controlling client.
Call the hosted Device API using the same encrypted-frame actions (QUERY/OPEN/CLOSE/TRIGGER) as the local WebSocket API.
Track usage against the documented cap of 300 requests per 20 days per device, and fall back to the local WebSocket API for latency-sensitive or high-frequency automations.
Known gotchas
300 requests/20 days is a hard cap meant for occasional remote use, not continuous polling or live dashboards.
The cloud path fails if the Remootio device loses internet, independent of your own client's connectivity.
