Steps
Confirm the Teachworks account is on the Growth or Premium plan — the API is not available on lower tiers
In the Teachworks account settings, generate the API credentials needed to authenticate requests (per the in-app API documentation)
Use the credentials to call a simple list endpoint (e.g. Locations or Services) as a smoke test
Review the API's Postman-based reference documentation for the exact request/response shape of each of the 65+ endpoints before building further integrations
Contact Teachworks support (support@teachworks.com) if a required endpoint doesn't yet exist — new endpoints are added based on client demand
Known gotchas
Downgrading off Growth/Premium will break any live API integration since access is plan-gated
If the required integration is a common one (e.g. a payment processor or CRM already on Zapier), Teachworks' own Zapier integration may be faster to stand up than custom API code
