Steps
Confirm the target city/region has a completed Urban FIA inventory project (e.g., 'Baltimore2021Curr') — coverage is limited to specific funded urban projects, not all US cities
Look up valid geog (project), estnum (estimate description), and grps (grouping) values via GET /fiadb-api/urban/fullreport/parameters/{name}?outputFormat=JSON
POST to https://apps.fs.usda.gov/fiadb-api/urban/fullreport with geog, estnum, grps, and outputFormat parameters
Optionally supply estdenom for ratio estimates, or strFilter/cg1/cg2 for custom SQL-based groupings
Parse the returned estimates/subtotals/totals plus metadata.sql for the underlying query used to generate the numbers
Known gotchas
Urban FIADB-API only covers cities with a completed, funded Urban FIA inventory project — most US cities are not represented; check the 'geog' parameter list first rather than assuming national coverage

Do not confuse with the general (non-urban) FIADB-API /fullreport endpoint, which serves rural/national forest inventory data on a different evaluation-group system
