Steps
Confirm devices currently authenticate to Google's Cloud IoT Core MQTT bridge (shut down August 2023)
Use ClearBlade IoT Core's one-click migration to copy device records, authentication certificates, and Pub/Sub topic mappings from the GCP project
Point devices at the ClearBlade regional MQTT endpoint on port 8883 instead of Google's global endpoint, without re-registering each device
Update the device's trusted root CA to DigiCert's root, since ClearBlade does not use Google's internal CA
Verify publish/subscribe behavior and Device Manager API calls against ClearBlade's replica of the original Device Manager API
Known gotchas
ClearBlade's endpoints are regional, not global like the original GCP service -- device firmware pointing at a hardcoded global endpoint needs updating
the root CA changes from Google's internal CA to DigiCert; devices with a pinned/hardcoded old CA fail the TLS handshake until updated
