Steps

  1. Confirm devices currently authenticate to Google's Cloud IoT Core MQTT bridge (shut down August 2023)
  2. Use ClearBlade IoT Core's one-click migration to copy device records, authentication certificates, and Pub/Sub topic mappings from the GCP project
  3. Point devices at the ClearBlade regional MQTT endpoint on port 8883 instead of Google's global endpoint, without re-registering each device
  4. Update the device's trusted root CA to DigiCert's root, since ClearBlade does not use Google's internal CA
  5. Verify publish/subscribe behavior and Device Manager API calls against ClearBlade's replica of the original Device Manager API
