Documented steps Authenticate as an existing owner of the package. Run: npm owner rm <username> <package-spec> to revoke the user's maintenance rights. After removal the user can no longer publish, edit metadata, or manage owners for that package. If two-factor auth is enabled in auth-and-writes mode, pass the one-time code via the otp option or answer the prompt. Confirm: npm owner ls <package-spec> no longer shows the removed username. You cannot remove the last owner in a way that leaves the package ownerless; at least one owner must remain. Two-factor enforcement applies to owner changes when your account uses auth-and-writes; supply a valid otp or the change fails. Only existing owners can perform the removal.
