Run: npm owner ls <package-spec> to print the usernames of every maintainer/owner of the package.
For scripted use, parse the plain-text output (one username per line).
Use the result to decide who to contact or audit for a release.

Known gotchas
The command lists users who can modify metadata, publish versions, and manage other owners; it does not show read-only collaborators (those are visible via npm access list collaborators).
The npm owner subcommands accept an author alias.
No special privilege is required to read the owner list for a package you can see.
