Steps

  1. Set up the job/project structure on the tester (e.g., Fluke's ProjX system) before testing so every autotest result is filed under the correct cable ID and project.
  2. Run autotests to the correct standard/limit (TIA-568.2-E for copper, TIA-568.3-E Tier 1/OLTS for fiber) for every link, and confirm each result shows an unqualified PASS before moving on.
  3. Sync or transfer results off the tester — via direct network/Wi-Fi connection to management software, cloud sync, or USB export, depending on the tester model.
  4. Compile the results into management software (e.g., LinkWare PC/LinkWare Live) that bundles project info, per-cable pass/fail detail, and company branding into a single customer-facing report.
  5. Deliver the report unaltered (results should not be hand-edited) so the customer or owner's rep can independently confirm it reflects the actual field measurements.
