Incrementally sync changed Employee Central records using lastModifiedDateTime queries against effective-dated entities

Steps
Store the timestamp of your last successful sync run
Query the target entity with a filter on lastModifiedDateTime greater than that stored timestamp
Combine with $expand for related entities you also need to refresh
Process returned time slices, respecting startDate/endDate to determine which slice is currently effective
Update the stored sync timestamp only after successfully processing the full page set
Known gotchas
lastModifiedDateTime reflects when a time slice was written, not necessarily when it became effective — a record can be modified today with a startDate in the future or past
Clock/timezone mismatches between your integration and the SuccessFactors data center can cause records to be skipped or re-processed
