Documented steps

  1. Download an object to a local file: mc get ALIAS/BUCKET/object.txt /local/path/ (or mc cp ALIAS/BUCKET/object.txt /local/).
  2. Download a whole bucket or prefix recursively with --recursive.
  3. Use --preserve to keep last-modified timestamps and file metadata on download.
  4. To stream content to stdout without a file, use mc cat ALIAS/BUCKET/object.txt.
  5. Verify with mc stat ALIAS/BUCKET/object.txt to see size and version.
