Query public-facing utility asset and work order data from Lucity's REST API

Steps
Confirm the utility has licensed and enabled the Lucity Public API (distinct from the internal/full API), which supports anonymous access to fields flagged public
Call the documented public-facing GET/POST endpoints to retrieve non-PII asset or work-order data
For internal/authenticated use cases needing broader data, authenticate against the full Web Services API instead
Request either JSON or XML output as supported by the API (JSON recommended per Lucity's own guidance)
Reference the published sample repository for working request/response examples before building production calls
Known gotchas
The Public API intentionally exposes only data explicitly flagged public by the utility and restricts endpoints to a small GET/POST subset; it is not a full data-access API
Both the Public and full REST APIs are licensed, site-specific components; a given utility's Lucity deployment may not have the REST API enabled at all
Field/table structures are utility-configurable within Lucity, so schemas can differ between utility deployments even on the same Lucity version
