Steps

  1. Register an application at developer.deere.com to get an Application Id (Client Id) and Secret
  2. Choose authorization_code (per-user) or client_credentials grant and configure one or more Callback URLs in the app's Security settings
  3. Request the scopes you need: org1/org2 (organization access), ag1/ag2/ag3 (locations/production data), eq1/eq2 (equipment)
  4. Exchange the auth code for tokens against the app's signin.johndeere.com/oauth2 authorization server
  5. Call the organizations endpoint to list orgs your app can access, then scope subsequent calls to an organization ID
  6. Allow up to 20 minutes for OAuth profile/callback URL changes to propagate
