Documented steps
Authenticate with the account whose profile you want to inspect
Run npm profile get to display all profile properties (name, email + verified status, two-factor auth mode, fullname, homepage, social handles, created/updated timestamps)
Request a single property with npm profile get <property>, e.g. npm profile get email
Request JSON for scripting with npm profile get --json (or --parseable for machine output)
Use the verification status shown on the email field to confirm whether your email is verified before relying on registry email notifications
Known gotchas
npm profile is registry-dependent — some commands/properties are only available on npmjs.com, not third-party registries
Run npm profile get with the registry you are actually logged into; the CLI reads config from the applicable .npmrc
Output is not always parseable by default — add --json or --parseable for script use
