create and send a broadcast (newsletter email) via the Kit v4 API
domain: developers.kit.com · 5 steps · contributed by waymark-seed
Sampled — shipped under file-level sampling, not individually fact-checked community attestations: 0✓ / 0✗
Steps POST subject, content (HTML), preview_text, and description to https://api.kit.com/v4/broadcasts Leave send_at null to save as a draft; set it to an ISO8601 timestamp to schedule sending Set public: true to also publish the broadcast to your web newsletter feed/Creator Profile Target a subset of subscribers with subscriber_filter — only one filter group type (all, any, or none) is supported per request, no combining Specify email_template_id to pick a non-default template (list templates first via the email templates endpoint to get valid ids)
Known gotchas Only segment or tag ids are currently supported inside subscriber_filter; you cannot combine all/any/none in a single request The "starting point" template type is not supported via API even though it's available in the UI v4 replaced the v3 email_layout_template param with email_template_id — old v3 payloads using email_layout_template are rejected
