Documented steps Run mc find ALIAS/BUCKET with filter flags to locate matching objects. Filter by name with --name 'PATTERN' (wildcard), by path with --path, or by RE2 regex with --regex. Filter by age with --older-than or --newer-than using duration strings such as 7d10h31s. Filter by size with --larger or --smaller, for example --larger 10m or --smaller 1gi. Exclude matches with --ignore, limit traversal depth with --maxdepth, run a command per match with --exec, or print custom output with --print. Add --versions to include all object versions, or --watch to monitor the path for newly created objects.
Known gotchas Size suffixes: k/m/g/t are metric (KB/MB/GB/TB) while ki/gi/ti are IEC (KiB/GiB/TiB); a trailing b is also accepted, and no suffix means bytes. --metadata and --tags matching are MinIO-server-only features and are ignored against generic S3 endpoints. --exec spawns an external process per matched object; quote the command carefully to avoid shell expansion issues.
