Documented steps

List all buckets: mc ls ALIAS.
List the objects in a bucket: mc ls ALIAS/BUCKET, or list a prefix with mc ls ALIAS/BUCKET/prefix.
Add --recursive to walk all objects in a bucket or prefix recursively.
Add --json for machine-readable JSON output, or --human-readable (default) for human-friendly sizes.
Add --versions to include object versions when bucket versioning is enabled.

Known gotchas

Without --recursive, mc ls only shows one 'directory depth' level; nested objects appear as a single prefix line.
For very large buckets, prefer --json and pagination or the du/find commands over a full recursive ls in a shell loop.
