Steps
Run tests on the Spin Touch using SpinDisk reagent cartridges - each test's date, time, results, and location are stored in the device's onboard data logger (up to 250 results)
Connect the meter to a PC via the included USB-C cable, or pair over Bluetooth Low Energy for wireless transfer
Use LaMotte's WaterLink Connect or WaterLink Solutions desktop/cloud software (downloaded from softwarecenter.lamotte.com) to pull stored results off the device
Keep meter firmware current via a USB connection to a Windows PC for new test calibrations and NSF-certification-compliant readings
Export or sync results from WaterLink Connect into your downstream record-keeping or pool-chemistry workflow
Known gotchas
The Spin Touch operates standalone (touchscreen only, no computer/smartphone required), but retrieving logged history off the device requires the LaMotte desktop software or a paired mobile/service app
Only LaMotte's own SpinDisk reagent cartridges work with it, and different cartridge series (e.g. 103, 203, 402) support different combinations of test factors
NSF/ANSI/CAN 50 certified accuracy ranges apply only to specific test factors (pH, free chlorine, combined chlorine, cyanuric acid), not every parameter the meter reports
