Steps
Create a developer account at developers.joinblvd.com (same login as your Boulevard dashboard) and click 'create new app'; approval can take up to 48 hours.
Once the app is approved, open it in the Developer Portal to copy its Application API key and Application ID.
In the Boulevard Dashboard, go to Manage Business settings > Apps & Integrations > Custom Apps > Install, and enter the Application ID to install the app on the target business.
After installation, copy the Application secret shown only at install time — it will not be shown again.
Include the business ID, API key, and API secret in each Admin GraphQL API request per the current admin-api authentication guide, and send queries/mutations to the GraphQL Admin API endpoint.
Treat the API secret as a bearer credential: if it is lost you must reinstall the app to generate a new one.
Known gotchas
developers.joinblvd.com renders its authentication guide client-side (JS SPA), so the exact header name/format could not be scraped directly this session; the businessId + api_key + api_secret credential model was cross-verified via Boulevard's own book-sdk GitHub README and two independent partner integration guides (Extole, Goodcall), not from memory.
The Application secret is generated only once, at install time, in the business's Apps & Integrations settings — separate from the Application (API) key issued at app-creation time.
This credential pair is for the merchant-facing Admin API only; it will not authenticate against the public, unauthenticated Client API.
