Steps
Choose a sync method: mobile app sync (native AirData UAV app), an auto-upload token embedded in a third-party flight app, or direct manufacturer cloud sync
For direct manufacturer sync, connect the manufacturer account credentials in AirData settings (supported for DJI, Autel, Parrot, and Skydio at time of writing)
For programmatic/enterprise access, obtain an API key by contacting AirData (available to Enterprise subscribers) rather than self-service signup
Authenticate API requests using HTTP Basic Auth with the API key as the username over HTTPS only
Pull flight records, telemetry, and battery data through the documented API endpoints for downstream reporting or compliance systems
Known gotchas
Plain HTTP requests are rejected outright — all API calls must be HTTPS
API access is gated behind Enterprise subscription and manual provisioning, not a self-serve developer signup, so lead time is needed before integration work can start
Direct manufacturer sync depends on that manufacturer's own cloud API availability, so an outage or account change at DJI/Skydio/etc. can silently break the sync pipeline
