Steps

  1. Install a SiLA 2 client library implementing the Core spec, e.g. pip install sila2 (Python) or the SDKs at gitlab.com/SiLA2
  2. Use SiLA's mDNS/Zeroconf-based Server Discovery mechanism to find SiLA Servers announcing themselves on the local network
  3. Fetch the target server's Feature Definition Language (FDL) XML, which declares its Commands and Properties per Feature
  4. Open an HTTP/2 connection using the gRPC wire format (Protocol Buffers payloads) to the discovered server address/port
  5. Invoke a Feature's Command or read a Property via the generated gRPC stub for that Feature
  6. Handle SiLA's standardized error taxonomy (Framework/Defined/Undefined execution errors) as defined in the Core spec
