For Certified Snow Professional (CSP): confirm you meet one of SIMA's eligibility options, pay the application fee (currently $450 for members / $500 for non-members), and pass a comprehensive exam covering six areas — science of snow and ice operations, operations management, risk management, human resources, business management, and sales/estimating.
Renew CSP every two years on the certification anniversary by paying the renewal fee and submitting 15 continuing education credits earned through SIMA events or approved training.
For Advanced Snow Manager (ASM): complete the four online courses (Core Principles, Plowing Operations, Sidewalk Operations, Ice Management) and pass each course's assessment.
