Steps
Navigate to Estimating > Item Catalog to manage catalog items (labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors) with their purchase units, allocation units, and purchase price
Set Pricing Mark-ups before creating any opportunity, since Aspire requires these to calculate customer-facing prices
Build Kits that combine your company's real production rates with labor, materials, and supply costs into a single line item so estimators can simply alter takeoff quantities
Enter or confirm Property Takeoffs for the job site; with takeoffs in place, Aspire auto-calculates cost and customer price for the contract opportunity
Assign the opportunity a status (pre-bid, bidding, approval, delivery, signed, production, or lost) to track it through the sales pipeline
Known gotchas
An item cannot be deleted from the Item Catalog once it's referenced by a kit or an estimate — plan catalog cleanup before it's used in live bids
Pricing Mark-ups must exist before you start building an opportunity, or estimate pricing will be incomplete
Full API-level integration (beyond the standard UI workflow) is reserved for Aspire's enterprise tier, so a bid-calculator integration project should confirm tier eligibility first
