Steps
Generate an API key from the Ticket Tailor account settings
Authenticate using HTTP Basic Auth with the API key as the username and a blank password
POST to the events endpoint to create an event, then add ticket types under it
Use holds and discount codes endpoints to manage restricted or promotional inventory
GET issued tickets and orders to reconcile sales against created ticket types
Known gotchas
Auth is HTTP Basic with the key as username, not a Bearer token — sending it as a bearer header will fail
Waitlist and holds are distinct resources from ticket types; don't assume a sold-out ticket type automatically enrolls buyers in a waitlist without explicit configuration
