Submit a captured document image (and, where required, a selfie) to Trulioo's Identity Document Verification capability rather than the general person-match verification endpoint
Read the OCR-extracted document fields (name, DOB, document number, expiry) returned from the scan
Evaluate the document authenticity result (security feature checks, tampering indicators) independently of any watchlist or person-match decision

Chain the document verification output into a separate GlobalGateway person-match or watchlist call only if your workflow requires combining document authenticity with data-source verification
Known gotchas
Document Verification and GlobalGateway person-match are modular and can be used independently — treating a passed document check as equivalent to a passed identity/watchlist check will miss cases where the document is genuine but doesn't belong to the presenting person
OCR extraction accuracy depends heavily on capture quality; low-resolution or angled captures can silently produce incorrect extracted field values that pass structurally but are wrong
