Steps

  1. Create a developer.dat.com account and request Freight Posting / Load Board API access; a signed integration agreement may be required for production credentials
  2. Set up a service account for org-level auth per DAT's Service Accounts FAQ, then layer user-level authentication for the poster
  3. Confirm the posting user has a Connexion seat and a load board seat - postings fail silently on entitlement, not just auth, if seats are missing
  4. Submit a load posting with origin, destination, equipment type, and contact method (service accounts can use an alternate phone/email instead of the primary)
  5. Poll or search the load/truck inventory endpoints to match capacity against posted freight
  6. Handle DAT's account lockout behavior - repeated failed logins block the service account, and you must trigger or request an unblock before postings resume
