Use the geocodeAddresses batch operation (or ArcGIS Online's Batch Geocode tool for jobs over 100,000 records)
Explicitly set the storage/forStorage parameter based on whether results will be persisted or used only transiently
Remember that credits are consumed only for geocodes performed for storage, not for transient/dynamic-use geocodes
Confirm the requesting account has the premium:user:geocode:stored privilege before requesting stored batch results
