Review the standard's scope: principles of carpet/rug cleaning, chemistry, fiber/construction types, soil management, equipment, cleaning methods/systems, safety and health, administrative procedures, pre/post-cleaning inspection, and spot/stain removal.
Align internal SOPs and technician training (e.g., CCT-certified staff) with the S100-2021 procedures and terminology rather than legacy internal documents based on an older edition.
Note that S100 explicitly does not cover restoration/remediation of contaminated textile floor coverings — route those situations to the applicable restoration standard instead.
