Steps
Build a SingleZip request to oasis.caiso.com/oasisapi/SingleZip with queryname=AS_RESULTS
Set market_run_id to DAM or RTM depending on whether day-ahead or real-time ancillary service awards are needed
Set startdatetime/enddatetime spanning at most one trade day
Unzip and parse the returned data for ancillary service region, service type, MW procured, and clearing price fields
Aggregate by ancillary service type and region to build a daily ancillary services cost summary
Compare DAM vs RTM awards for the same trade day to analyze real-time reserve shortfalls
Known gotchas
Ancillary service regions and product definitions (regulation, spin, non-spin) are CAISO-specific and don't map 1:1 to other ISOs' AS products
As with other OASIS reports, each request is capped to a single trade day and returns a zip archive even for small result sets
