Steps
Register an application on the iTwin Platform developer portal and complete OAuth2 client setup to get access tokens
Create or identify the target iTwin the reality data will be associated with, via the iTwins API
Use the Reality Management API to list or retrieve reality data properties associated with that iTwin
Access the reality data's actual content (files/folders) through its associated blob container, following the file-tree structure from the data's root
Use the open-source @itwin/reality-data-client TypeScript package instead of raw REST calls if building a TypeScript/JavaScript integration
Known gotchas
Reality data is always bound to an iTwin — it can't be managed independently of the iTwins API/data model
Blob container access for file content is a separate step from fetching metadata — retrieving properties doesn't automatically give you a usable file download URL
This sits inside the broader iTwin digital-twin/BIM platform — check for overlap with existing construction/BIM routes and keep usage strictly to reality-capture data
