Steps
From a route stop or work order in the mobile app, tap Add in the Items Needed box and choose a Product, an item from Skimmer's equipment database, a Chemical, or a free-text Other item
Edit a shopping-list item's description, or delete it (swipe left, tap the trash icon, confirm) before it's purchased
As items are installed or sold to the customer, swipe right on the item to mark it Installed, which queues it for billing
Office staff review the aggregated shopping list across all techs on web to know what to buy or restock before the next route day
Billed items flow from the shopping list into the customer's invoice automatically once marked installed
Known gotchas
The shopping list tracks demand item-by-item as techs flag needs; it is not an automatic reorder-point/inventory-threshold system like Wise Software's seasonal ordering - there's no stock-level trigger
An item stays in needed status until a tech explicitly marks it installed/sold; skipping that step leaves it perpetually outstanding and unbilled
This is a web/app UI workflow - Skimmer's public API does not currently expose a Shopping List resource for programmatic reorder automation
