Steps

  1. Track the 'expiration' timestamp returned by the Authenticate service alongside your stored token.
  2. Before making a protected request, check whether the token is still within its 20-minute validity window.
  3. If expired or about to expire, call the Authenticate service again with your API ID/key for a fresh token.
  4. Catch token-expired/invalid errors and retry once with a freshly obtained token.
