Steps Build item objects for the Items Create call with an images/documents/videos list per the Common Data attachment model. For YouTube videos, set the attachment's URL field to the YouTube video ID rather than a full URL. Ensure every attachment within an item has a unique filename; a second attachment with a duplicate filename is silently dropped. Submit up to 250 items per call inside a BackboneCollectionModel, batching larger catalogs across multiple requests. Confirm success by checking the response for populated imageUrls (Cloudinary-hosted) on each created item. Known gotchas Duplicate attachment filenames within the same item fail silently - no error is raised, the second file is simply ignored. Lot staggering configured at the auction level is not respected for items created via API; stagger timing must be set per item explicitly.
