Steps
In HireHop, go to Settings > Users and select or create a user
Open that user's Menu and choose API token to generate the token
Pass the token as a GET or POST parameter on API requests
Respect the limit of one in-flight call at a time per user
Handle rate-limit responses by backing off before retrying
Known gotchas
HireHop permits only one concurrent API call per user token — firing parallel requests under the same token causes failures
The rate limit is capped at 60 requests per minute (roughly 3 per second) per user token; exceeding it returns a "too many transactions" security warning
