Documented steps Install and log in to Tailscale on the serving machine. Enable MagicDNS and HTTPS for your tailnet in the admin console. Run `tailscale serve localhost:3000` (or `tailscale serve <port>`) to proxy a local service to https://<machine>.<tailnet>.ts.net. Only other devices in your tailnet can reach it - clients must be Tailscale members. Inspect with `tailscale serve status`, clear the config with `tailscale serve reset`.
Known gotchas Serve is private to the tailnet; to reach the broader internet use Funnel instead. They are mutually exclusive per port. Requires MagicDNS and HTTPS to be enabled on the tailnet. On the same port, the most recent serve/funnel command controls whether it is private or public.
