Steps
Obtain a Client ID and Client Secret for the Connect API from the local SALTO Business Unit
Authenticate using OpenID Connect / OAuth 2.0 against SALTO's identity provider
Call the AccessGroups endpoint to create a new access group
Use AccessGroupUsers and AccessGroupsLocks to assign users and locks to that group
Set schedules via AccessGroupsTimeSchedules to define when the group's access applies
Known gotchas
Connect API credentials are issued per Business Unit, not globally — the same Client ID/Secret won't necessarily work across a customer's other SALTO installations
Anything created via the KS front-end apps is mirrored in the Connect API and vice versa, so concurrent UI and API edits to the same access group can race
