Steps
Onboard the issuing party (seller) with Fonoa if not already onboarded, providing the legal entity details required by the destination country
Submit the transaction data, such as an invoice, credit note, or receipt, to the E-Invoicing API in a single API call
Allow Fonoa to process the submission asynchronously against the destination country's tax authority or clearance system
Listen for the webhook notification of the result, or poll the transaction status if webhooks are not configured
Retrieve and store the resulting human-readable document and any authority-issued reference number for your records
Known gotchas
Processing is asynchronous; do not assume the invoice is authority-approved immediately after the submit call returns, wait for the webhook or poll status
Party onboarding requirements vary significantly by destination country, so confirm the required legal-entity fields for each jurisdiction before submission
