  1. Create a dedicated API user account (not a personal login) under Admin Settings > User Types
  2. Construct the HTTP Basic auth header from that user's email:password, Base64-encoded
  3. Navigate to https://<yourhostname>.gofmx.com/api/docs/index to browse and test endpoints
  4. Use the WorkRequests endpoints to create, update, or close maintenance requests
  5. Use the Equipment/EquipmentLogs endpoints to keep asset records in sync
