Steps

  1. Register for a MarineTraffic API account and purchase/allocate a prepaid credit balance for the specific API service(s) you need.
  2. Obtain your per-service API key from the MarineTraffic API Services dashboard.
  3. Call a positions endpoint (e.g., export vessels by area or by specific vessel) with your key and vessel identifiers (MMSI/IMO/SHIP_ID) or a bounding box.
  4. Call the port calls / events endpoint separately, scoped by vessel or by port, to get arrival/departure/berth timelines.
