Integrate Arity's mobile SDK into a carrier telematics app to capture trip data and compute a behavior score

Steps

1. Complete Arity partner registration and request SDK access credentials; the Arity Driving Engine SDK enables mobile apps to detect, record, and score driving behavior
2. Embed the Arity SDK in your iOS or Android application using the provided SDK package; initialize the SDK with YOUR_ARITY_SDK_KEY and configure the driving detection sensitivity settings per Arity's integration guide
3. Request the required device permissions from the user: motion/activity recognition and background location access; explain the UBI program purpose at the permission prompt to maximize opt-in rates
4. The SDK automatically detects trip start and end; after each trip, retrieve the trip record from the SDK's local data store or the trip will be transmitted to Arity's platform depending on your configuration
5. Call the Arity Platform API to retrieve the aggregated driving score for each user after a sufficient data collection period; the Drivesight score is documented as built on 440+ billion miles of historical telematics data
6. Feed the retrieved score and raw trip attributes (hard braking, acceleration events, phone use) into your renewal rating workflow; apply the insurer-defined discount or surcharge table
