Align curriculum content to learning standards using the CASE API from a CASE Network 2 provider

Steps

1. Identify a CASE-compliant provider (e.g., Common Good Learning Tools CASE Network 2 mirror) that hosts the target standards framework; obtain the framework's GUID
2. Fetch the CFDocument (framework root) by GUID from the provider's CASE endpoint to retrieve framework metadata including title, creator, and subject area
3. Fetch CFItems for the framework using the CFItems endpoint filtered by the CFDocument GUID; each CFItem represents an individual standard with its human-readable fullStatement and machine-readable identifier
4. Fetch CFAssociations to understand the hierarchical and alignment relationships between standards; associations encode parent-child, isRelatedTo, and isPartOf relationships
5. Store the CFItem GUIDs in your content metadata when tagging content to standards; use CFAssociations to support browsing up and down the standards hierarchy in your alignment UI
