Steps

  1. Register as an INTTRA eVGM shipper and obtain credentials for the eVGM submission portal or API endpoint
  2. Calculate the VGM using either Method 1 (weigh the packed container) or Method 2 (sum of cargo items, packaging, and tare weight) per SOLAS regulation VI/2
  3. Populate the eVGM submission with booking number, container number, VGM value in kilograms, weighing method, and authorized signatory
  4. Submit via the INTTRA eVGM web interface or structured message and obtain a submission reference number as proof of filing
  5. Confirm the VGM has been forwarded to and accepted by the ocean carrier before the vessel's VGM cutoff time
