Steps In KEPServerEX IoT Gateway, add an agent and set its type to REST Server Configure the Network Adapter (Localhost only vs. all network connections) and optionally a CORS Allowed Origins list Enable HTTPS if remote clients need encrypted access; note a self-signed certificate is generated automatically Connect a REST client to the default endpoint https://localhost:39320/iotgateway/ (or the configured host/port) to browse available tags Issue GET/POST requests against the agent's exposed tags to read current values or write new ones
Known gotchas The default self-signed HTTPS certificate will trigger certificate-trust warnings in most HTTP clients until replaced or explicitly trusted Leaving Network Adapter set to "Localhost only" (the safer default) silently blocks any remote client from reaching the agent
