Steps
Identify the specific GHGRP table(s) and fields needed via the Envirofacts GHG search UI, noting that column headers link to metadata pages
Query the target table via the Envirofacts RESTful Data Service by constructing a URL naming the table and any filter/join parameters
Request the desired output format (JSON is the default; CSV, Excel, HTML, JSONP, Parquet, PDF, and XML are also supported)
Use the metadata pages linked from column headers to confirm field definitions before building filters
Combine facility-level GHGRP emissions data with other Envirofacts datasets via joins where needed
Known gotchas
Column meanings and units must be confirmed via each field's linked metadata page; table/column names alone can be ambiguous
This is a generic Envirofacts data-table API shared across many EPA datasets, not a GHG-specific endpoint, so query syntax (paging, filters, joins) is the same across all Envirofacts tables
Not all GHGRP-submitted data is public; only data EPA has determined is publicly releasable is available through Envirofacts
